Offering for sale is this stunning Louis XVI style French “bombe” commode in lovely antique condition.
A beautifully figured marble top sits on a shaped chest of drawers, featuring 2 deep drawers and standing on elegant out swept feet.
Stylish and desirable bombe shape, constructed with a combination of fine kingwood and walnut with floral inlay decoration.
Adorned with bronze fixtures to the sides, handles, key escutcheons and front feet.
The original marble top is in excellent condition. Made of mahogany and walnut and several species of decorative wood.
Great quality, design and craftsmanship.The commode is in lovely condition and ready to place at home.
Solid and sturdy with no loose joints. On close inspection you will find light scuff marks,
fine light surface scratches, a little veneer loss on edges, a normal aged patina you would
expect from antique furniture.
